Durable and affordable, the Swab Test Training Model is perfect to train healthcare students and staff on the performance of nasopharyngeal swab testing for the diagnosis of COVID-19, the flu, and other viral and some bacterial respiratory infections. The cast model features a head that is tilted back slightly for easier access to the realistically sculpted nasal passages as well as a clear Plexiglas front that facilitates student observation of procedures. A nasopharyngeal swab can be passed through the model’s nasal cavity to the recommended depth for testing. For demonstration of strep testing, a standard tongue depressor can be inserted into the model’s mouth and over the tongue, which is made of flexible, lifelike synthetic material for a realistic feel.
